OTP to the registered mobile is the only proof the FairPlay reset screen asks for. No old password needed, which is the whole point.
Step two is the one that gets skipped. People go straight back to the login field and try variations of the old password, three or four of them, before they look under the field at all. Don't. - Your mobile number on the FairPlay ID was changed, lost or switched off.
- No OTP reaches the phone, even after asking again.
- Your ID came from the desk in the first place and its password was never changed.
- You forgot the withdrawal password as well, and both can be reset in one conversation.
Otherwise, honestly, the OTP screen is quicker because there is nobody to wait for. Both routes end at the same place: a new FairPlay password, the same ID, the same balance.
